THE SILENT Y®
For decades, Michele did not understand, “why do women lack the equality they deserve?” She asked, “where was the equity?” And for decades, she wondered how to get women’s voices heard, listened to, and respected in a male-dominated world. She knows the “why” about male behavior (from their ego in their testosterone), but she needed to know “how.” Women’s voices must be heard, respected and included.
She wanted to solve the problem how to get the sisterhood to confidently use their voices in a more authoritative clever ego-way. And she wanted to educate and motivate her sisterhood in a simple fun way.
Men are attracted to confident women. Confidence is a mindset that many women have, but not all. For decades of research, studies and observations about gender behavior, Michele came up with a different idea: THE SILENT Y®. It’s about biology. Women should copy men by using the male Y chromosome to step up, speak up and speak out.
Actress, Producer, Director and Activist Eva Longoria’s comment on September 11, 2020:
“Women make the world go round. Women are the economic engine of this particular country and of the world. And you know, we’re not a special interest group —we are half the population of the globe!”
Political figures like Eleanor Roosevelt, Michelle Obama, Barbara Bush, Nikki Haley, Lynne (“Liz”) Cheney and Britain’s first female prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, all spoke up. It’s likely they didn’t know they used THE SILENT Y®. Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani female education activist, also too. Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep and journalist Connie Chung also. FTC Commissioner Lina M. Khan, author Toni Morrison, Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair, do too. These incredible women are role models using THE SILENT Y®, whether or not they were aware of it. Michele applauds them all and all the other women too.
Trailblazing journalist Connie Chung, who battled misogyny and racism, said: “I had to be as strong and tough as the next guy. I lowered my voice. I had swagger and false bravado–and a potty mouth.” She used THE SILENT Y®.
THE SILENT Y® will empower women to have that confidence, courage and conviction to act like a guy, when needed. Women have XX chromosomes; men have XY chromosomes. X comes before Y in the alphabet.
is Michele’s innovative and dynamic phrase to inspire the sisterhood in never-done-before ways.
For inspiration, Alicia Keys, the 16-time Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer and New York Times best-selling author, said:
“Don’t swallow your feelings, thoughts, words.”
